About me
Eric Saarvala is the Executive Director of the Raymond James Canada Foundation and Head of Corporate Sustainability at Raymond James Ltd. He also serves on the firm’s National Inclusion Council, where he helps advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
With more than 20 years of experience in consulting and management, Eric has built a career at the intersection of strategic philanthropy, sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). His work spans the private, public, and non-profit sectors, where he has guided organizations in delivering measurable social impact and aligning their strategies with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Eric holds an Executive MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University, along with a Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto. He is also a Certified Sustainability Practitioner (CSR-P).
Deeply committed to community engagement and advancing social impact, social purpose & sustainability, Eric actively serves on nonprofit boards and committees. He also contributes as a coach and mentor in purpose-driven leadership and sustainability through the Ivey Business School and co-leads the Ivey Alumni Sustainability Community.
